Mint is no longer just a chewing gum flavor, it is also this year’s most popular spring and summer color!
This season’s IT color ranges from creamy and whimsical, to bold and bright which makes it universally wearable on all skin tones.
Pictured above is the BCBG Urika Asymmetrical dress, which I paired with these shoes and this jewelry from Aldo. It was the perfect outfit for my cousin’s bridal shower last weekend!
If you want to rock this year’s color, but don’t want to go all out (yet), I would advise that you start by adding an accessory as an accent piece to your outfit.
A mint green clutch, hand bag, headband, scarf, shoes or pair of earings are all fabulous ways for you to test the “mint green waters”, while adding a pop of color to your wardrobe.
Similarly, makeup and nail color can be used as a more conservative approach to help you decide which shade of mint green works best with your complexion.
If you are feeling adventurous, try color blocking but be mindful; mint can also be disastrous if not worn the correct way.
Mint pairs best with white, light pink, beige and especially navy. Stay away from pairing mint with neon colors or too many pastels.
Incorporating this shade into your wardrobe is the perfect way to spice up your spring style. The key is to start small. Open yourself up to experimenting with new colors, and you will soon realize that the outfit opportunities are endless!

I am LOVING the mint trend that is happening right now. I especially love it paired with pink and beige. I also really love that coral is a big color for Spring/Summer too. Both of those colors are EVERYWHERE in the stores right now!

Oh man, you don’t know how excited I was to see the other day that mint is so popular right now! I saw so many minty outfits and was pretty happy since it’s one of my fave colors (green and diff. shades of green are my favorites). You look gorgeous in your outfit, and those shoes are beautiful.
