Links I’m Loving Lately

Hey friends!

I think that I am finally feeling better! My cough seems to have subsided, and I don’t feel like I am carrying a 50 pound weight on my chest anymore. Hallelujah!

I’ve signed up for Poise and Zumba class tonight, which I am super pumped for considering I haven’t participated in much physical activity for about 2 weeks! It should be interesting to say the least.

Clearly my race training had to take a back seat due to my stupid illness, but I am trying to get back on track. Let’s just say I’m not planning to PR at the Black Cat 10 Miler, simply finishing without stopping would be considered a victory in my mind at this point.

As a runner who hatesssssss running in the cold temperatures, I without a doubt turn to the treadmill during the winter. Adding incline and playing with speed workouts are the only things that get my through running on the “dreadmill”

Interesting argument. Does exercise make you more or les hungry?

It depends for me. Usually after a run I’m not that hungry. After any other type of workout, I’m typically ravenous.

Sometimes I find myself “freaking out” over the smallest and most meaningless things. It’s not healthy, and it usually does not help any situation.  I’m working on getting better at not freaking out, but sometimes nerves just take over!

While researching Piloxing (a new class that I can’t wait to try at Studio Poise next week!) I came across this link that lists lots of innovative fitness classes.



Although I have heard of Piloxing, I haven’t heard of most of the classes in this article.  Indo Wind Boarding? Sounds farfetched, but I’d totally try it!
