Good morning friends!
Sorry for being MIA yesterday. Remember when I mentioned that I was feeling under the weather on Monday? Well yesterday I was feeling down right awful. I’m talking, coughing, sinus pain, headache, body aches, basically the works. I seriously have not felt this bad in YEARS. Ugh.

Luckily I had previously scheduled a new patient appointment at a new doctor’s office for yesterday morning (not knowing that I would actually be sick that day). Nothing against my old doc, (love him to death!) but at 23 years old I figured it was about time to make the switch from pediatrician to an adult primary care physician. The nurse practitioner at the new office is a sweetheart, and I think that I will be very happy at this new office.
I figured that I had the flu, considering that I opted out on having the shot, but I was wrong. Apparently my symptoms are not flu-like; no fever or chills. After listening to me breathe, she diagnosed me with bronchitis.
At first she wanted to treat me with some over the counter drugs (Mucinex), but seeing as I almost shed a tear when I heard that, she gave in, and prescribed me the Z-Pack, thank GOD!
I’m not one to beg for medication, actually I’d rather not take it if it’s possible, but I think I know my body enough to know that this type of illness needs some antibiotics. Hopefully within the next few days I’ll start to feel better, but for right now I am still very “blah”.
On the upside, the NP told me that I should definitely be having at least one yogurt per day throughout the course of the medication. I let out a little chuckle when I heard that, and told her that wouldn’t be a problem at all

For now I’m continuing my habit of being a yogurt addict, while hydrating and taking it relatively easy!
Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Oh no! Take care of yourself! Bronchitis is no fun at all. I’m not a big medication person either. I always try to just get better on my own. Hang in there, girl!

Feel better Stellina! I’m usually not a medicine person. If I have a cold I’ll just pump myself with vitamin c and I rarely take pain meds unless necessary. But when it comes to serious colds, sinus infections, flu’s, etc. – I BEG the doctor to pump with whatever will make it go away! I’m such a baby.
