Winter Fashion Tips

Staying fashionable AND warm can be one of the winter’s greatest challenges. If you are from an area where the winter brings lots of snow, ice and bitter cold temperatures then you certainly know what I am talking about.

Hats, scarves, gloves and boots surely do what they are supposed to, but they can also leave you looking like the abdominal snowman (woman) if you aren’t careful!

Following these simple tips will help you look stylish, while still feeling warm when the temperatures start to drop.

Find the right scarf: Scarves are one of my favorite winter accessories. Find the right scarf and you will not have to sacrifice style for warmth. You can even leave your scarf on all day and make it part of your outfit.

Invest in a Peacoat: A thigh length peacoat will keep you warm, while still looking stylish.

Go For Tall Boots: A pair of boots that go over your knees can be worn with anything from tights, leggings or jeans. They are fantastic for keeping your feet warm, along with being a fashion-forward statement.

Keep Your Legs Warm: A thick pair of opaque stockings or leggings are a perfect addition to your winter wardrobe. They are comfortable, keep you warm and can be worn out to a fancy restaurant or to the office. Wear them under a sweater, dress or skirt. The options are endless!

Don’t Forget About Your Hands: Always, always, always carry gloves! I try to keep a pair of gloves in my purse, in my car and around my house. I don’t spend a lot of money on gloves, because there is just too high of a chance that I will lose them. I find that a pair of basic black or white gloves go with almost every outfit.

I especially love this white pair from J. Crew, which are gloves & mittens in one! They allow your finger tips to be exposed for texting or using your phone if necessary. What a great idea!

Sweater Dress It Up: It is never too cold to wear a dress, a sweater dress that is! I am known for wearing sweater dresses all throughout the winter. They care comfortable, as well as a great option for the office or a night out on the town.

Wear your sweater dress with a thick pair of opaque tights and some thigh-high boots, and you’ve got yourself a cute, stylish, work and play appropriate outfit that will keep you from shivering too!

  1. That sweater dress is so cute! I love the look of cut-out sleeves but can never seem to find any tops/dresses that look just right with them.
I live in PA, so I’m no stranger to the cold unfortunately. I basically live in leggings, boots and scarves.

  3. Cute scarf!! I am all about trying to look cute and stay bundled up in the winter. Luckily in L.A. it doesn’t get too cold, so scarves are the perfect way to take most of my outfits from fall to winter.

  7. It is the job of the music video editor to make sure that all cuts and movements in the video are
synched to the music. If done correctly, move
your hand down by one string to the 5A string, and start again.
Try to learn a small part of the guitar solo where the guitarist is not doing a lot of fancy bends or
    hammer-ons.
