Good Morning Friends!
I am really excited today because………..
Look what I gotttttttttttttt!
Yes folks, I finally did it! I invested in a Vitamix Blender! I have been wanting to purchase a Vitamix for a few years now, but it’s no secret that these machines are not cheap! Every time I thought about buying one, I would come very close, but then eventually settle for an average and much cheaper blender.
After going through several sub par blenders, which probably cost me more than Vitamix all together, I finally decided to dish out the money and buy the Vitamix itself. I am thinking of this as more of a lifelong investment, because although these machines cost a lot of money, they are built to last, and are much more than just a regular blender.
With the Vitamix I will be able to create much more than just smoothies. I’ll be able to make breads, dips, spreads, soups, cookies, fondues, lunches, purees and so much more! I am so excited to start playing with my new toy, and experiment with all of the different recipes options!
Luckily the Vitamix website provides a whole section dedicated to all different types of recipes that are sorted by dietary restrictions, level of difficulty and time to make. I’m sure I will probably create the majority of recipes on my own, but it’s nice to have some sort of guide to go by, especially when it comes to the mechanics such as what speed/gage to blend certain ingredients at.
The machine also came with this awesome cookbook that I am currently browsing through, and book marking all of the recipes that catch my eye.
Doesn’t this cucumber melon smoothie sound delicious? It looks like more of a summery drink, but to me smoothies of all types should be made all year round! Especially the amazing smoothies I got my hands on while in Aruba. definitely going to try to recreate some of those VERY soon!
Ok, I am off to go browse more recipe’s and test out the new appliance! Wish me luck
Thank you for all of the sweet comments on yesterday’s Life To Do’s post!
