Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past few days! There hasn’t been all that much for me to blog about, considering the fact that I caught a pretty nasty stomach bug on Saturday night, that ended up sticking around through Sunday and Monday . No working out and no interesting or fun foods to report, just a whole lotta white.
My diet for the past three days has consisted of primarily white bread and butter, crackers, a banana and soup. Talk about blah! No worries though, I’m glad to say that today I am feeling much better, and hopefully I’ll be completely back to normal by tomorrow!
Movie Theater Pet Peeves
On Friday night, Matteo and I didn’t feel like going out, but we didn’t feel like staying in either. After discussing a few ideas, we finally decided to go see Snow White and the Huntsman at the movie theater.
We rarely go to the movies so it was a nice change up, but now I remember why I almost never go to the movies! For some reason, I just can never get comfortable in the chairs, I can’t sit still and I always have to use the restroom during the most important scene! The snacks are way too expensive for what they are worth, I mean a bottle of water for $7.00?! I wouldn’t necessarily use the word frugal to describe myself, but considering that I can buy a 24 pack of water for $3.99, kind of makes paying $7.00 for just one a little ridiculous! Don’t you agree?
Aside from all that, I think that I caught this stubborn stomach virus while at the movies. Call me crazy, call me whatever you want, but I’m sure they don’t go around disinfecting every single chair that someone sat in in between movies and that’s probably what happend! I actually researched this while I was in bed drinking my ginger-ale, and found this article about 6 Health Hazards of a Dirty Movie Theater. Pretty nasty stuff! At least, I’m fine now, but I’m sure tht I probably won’t be visting the movie theater anytime soon!
Now that my little rant is over, I’ll tell you that the movie was OK. I’d describe as good but not great. In my opinion, if you are thinking about seeing it, just wait until it comes out on On Demand or Netflix. This way you can pop your own popcorn, drink your own water and hit pause if you have to go pee .
Do you have any movie theater pet peeves?
